The Last Adventure in Singapore
by Christian
for Thursday, August 1st
We started off the day by going to the Jurang Bird Park. The bird park was really fun. The first thing we saw was the penguins. My next favorite was the Birds of Prey show. I just wish they had a falcon. They missed out on having a falcon. They did have vultures, a bald eagle, owl and hawk. The second show we saw was really cool. It had one really loud bird named Jim. The bird that was neat in that show was the parrot. His name was Amigo. He was a green parrot who mimicked sounds really well. He said "hello", "how are you", counted from 1 to 10 in English and Chinese, and best of all - sang songs. One song was in Mandarin, one in Indonesian and then he sang "Happy Birthday" in English. It was really cool. I also liked the next couple of birds especially the peacock that was standing right by us.
It was okay in the morning but by this time we got really hot. We ate lunch and came home. We got packed up to leave. Dad and Rachel are staying in Singapore while we go to Sri Lanka. That night we walked to the mall near our house. We wanted to try chili crab - one of the most famous dishes in Singapore. We didn't because the place that has it requires you to order it a day in advance. Mom and Rachel had noodles with chili crab sauce.
It's sad to leave Singapore but I feel like there is another adventure waiting in Sri Lanka for us.

lots of the birds were free range so we talked around by them

These flamigos were so strange! They were walking all together back and forth.
